We are a multinational family…John has lived in the Boston area his entire life, and Nai is originally from Brazil. Tony La Puma is a long-time resident of Braintree. He has three children, seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Tony has been a member of Grace Church for over four years and serves with the first impression. Our group is made up of both singles and couples over 40.

Our Moms Life Group's purpose is to help moms grow in their relationship with God while they are teaching and guiding their kids to have a relationship with Him as well, and to personally grow deeper in their faith. It is our mission to be stretched and grown to become more like Him every day and to gain a sense of community and support from other moms as we navigate this mom life together! We will look for opportunities to serve our community right alongside our kids and teach them the attitude of serving as well!

Our group is geared toward those in their 30's and 40's, but open to anyone looking to encourage each other to grow and strengthen their faith by diving deeper into scripture and discussing the weekend teaching. We will share meals, plan fun outings. But most important, we will support and point each other to Jesus on the tough days, while also celebrating and praising him together on the good days. Elizabeth and I have been attending Grace Church since 2010. I serve in the First Impressions ministry, while Elizabeth helps with Kids Ministry check-in. Our group focuses on supporting adults in being more intentional with their spiritual journeys. We believe that we can’t grow or positively impact our community on our own—it’s through community that we are stronger and more effective. We encourage serving on a team, reading scripture daily, and diving into life group discussion questions to apply Sunday’s teachings to our everyday lives. This helps us stay outwardly focused, sharing Jesus’ love with those in our circles of influence. Our group has a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We love to snack, with someone new bringing treats each week. We begin each gathering by catching up for about 30 minutes, discussing family and work life. Most weeks, we go over questions from the previous Sunday’s teaching. We also enjoy hosting a game night once a semester for some added fun! This group is designed for families with kids in youth group. We meet on Sunday nights during youth group, making it a great opportunity for parents/guardians to stay, connect with others, and grow in their spiritual walk while their kids are at church.

We met at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1976, got married in 1978 (you do the math, it's a big number!), and God led us to Massachusetts that same year to hopefully be part of advancing God's kingdom in the Northeast.
