Life Is Better

In Groups

God didn't design us to do life alone. Whether you're brand new to Grace or you've been around for years — there's a group for you.

Groups at Grace Church

Find Your Group

We have three different types of groups at Grace — each one designed for a different stage of life and faith. Take a look and find the one that fits where you are right now.

New to Grace? We'd recommend starting with a Meet & Greet first — it's the best way to figure out where you fit.

Life Groups

Small weekly gatherings outside of weekend services where followers of Jesus journey together — discovering God's purpose for their lives and helping each other apply Biblical teachings to their everyday lives. This is where real community happens.

Electives

Short-term groups that meet weekly over a specific period of time and cover a particular topic or life need. Perfect if you're working through something specific and want a focused, supportive group around you while you do it.

Growth Groups

Grab 2 or 3 friends, open the Bible together, and start asking real questions about faith and life. Growth Groups are simple, low commitment, and can happen anywhere — your living room, a coffee shop, wherever works for you.

Common Questions

Questions About Groups

We get a lot of the same questions about groups. Here are the most common ones — and our honest answers.

Not at all. Groups are open to anyone — whether you've been following Jesus for decades or you're still figuring out what you believe. In fact some of the best group conversations happen when people are in different places in their faith journey. You don't need to have it all figured out to show up.

That's actually one of the best reasons to join a group. Most people who find their people at Grace do it through a group — not through a weekend service. If you're brand new and not sure where to start, we'd recommend coming to a Meet & Greet first. We can help connect you to the right group from there.

It depends on where you are in life right now. If you're looking for ongoing community with a consistent group of people — a Life Group is your best bet. If you're walking through something specific and want focused support — check out Electives. If you want something simple and low key with a couple of friends — a Growth Group is a great place to start. Still not sure? Come to a Meet & Greet and we'll help you figure it out.

Every group has its own rhythm but most involve some combination of catching up, reading or discussing the Bible, talking through what it means for everyday life, and praying for each other. Some groups do a study together, others discuss the weekend sermon. It's less formal than it sounds — think good conversation with people you trust more than a classroom setting.

Most groups meet once a week for one to two hours. Electives are short term so they have a defined start and end date. Life Groups are ongoing but there's no pressure to commit forever — just show up, give it a few weeks, and see how it feels. We've found that once people are in a group they wonder how they ever did life without it.

Yes — and you might be surprised. Small groups are actually a much better environment for introverts than a Sunday service. Instead of a crowd, it's a handful of people in someone's living room. You don't have to perform or be "on" — you can just show up and be yourself. Some of the most valued voices in any group belong to the people who speak less but mean more when they do.
